FAQ

Here are some answers to Frequently Asked Questions.  If there’s anything I haven’t answered for you that you would like to know, please contact me!

Q:  Can I select the wines that you put in the club shipments?

A:  We are a small operation and we do not keep an inventory of wines on hand for you to select from.  I compile club shipments by scouring the valley for deals, unusual offerings, and one of a kind wines.  For that reason, it is impossible for me to let club members choose their own wines.  That being said, you are certainly more than welcome to make requests, and I will do everything in my power to fulfill your requests.  I just can’t guarantee it!

Q:  If I love one of the wines you send me, can I order more?

A:  I certainly hope so!  There’s two ways you can go about this.  You can shoot me an email and say “Hey Jack!  We loved that XYZ Wine can you send me a case?” and I will be happy to oblige if at all possible.  I just ask for a minimum order of 6 bottles.  Or, you can contact the winery directly and make an order from them – just be sure to let them know Backroads Wine Club sent you so I get some brownie points!  😉  Please note however, there will sometimes be wines that I send you that are simply discontinued and no longer available.  If this is the case, I can potentially point you towards a similar wine or the same wine from a different vintage.

Q:  We can’t do a wine shipment this time because (we’re broke, we’re out of town, we simply have too much wine, etc etc fill in the blank) is it OK if we skip a shipment?

A:  Absolutely!  I’m not here to hold your credit card hostage – I’m just here to send you great wine when you want it!  If you need to skip a shipment or two, or just put your club status on hiatus for an indefinite period of time, just let me know and I’ll be happy to do it.  I just ask you to please give me as much advance notice as possible so I can plan accordingly.  Please note that the minimum advance notice is 72 hours (3 days) before an “allotment date.”  Once we’re within 3 days of an allotment, you are obligated to go through with the purchase because by then, I have almost certainly procured and packaged your wines!
